Cultivating Your Creative Life

I’ve spent a good part of my life writing songs and sharing them with people. I’ve released eight CDs and written songs for other artists, film, TV and a variety of niche projects. I’m incredibly grateful to be doing what I love and am inspired to share my insights, stories and research about the creative life in a series of conversations I’ve developed called Cultivating Your Creative Life.

Cultivating a Creative Life involves uncovering our distinct areas of giftedness, developing and nurturing them with passion and discipline, and then sowing them like seeds into the fields where we live and work.

I believe this creative life looks not so much like a list of accomplishments or failures, but rather doing what we love and are passionate about, pouring of our very selves–heart and soul–into the life we’ve been given.

I’m currently sharing this message at a variety of venues and events, including conferences, worship arts seminars and women’s retreats. I have found the topic expands nicely into three sessions for weekend retreats, but I’ve also shared the edited version many times as a single key-note talk.
