I’ve spent a good part of my life writing songs and sharing them with people. I’ve released seven CDs and written songs for other artists, film, TV and a variety of niche projects. I’m incredibly grateful to be doing what I love and am inspired to share my insights, stories and research about the creative life in a series of conversations I’ve developed called The Divine Work of Art: Cultivating Your Creative Life.
The divine work of art is the effect of us living out our creative calling. We fulfill our deepest purpose when we share our unique expressions of God’s love, bringing wholeness and completeness to both ourselves and to others.
The divine work of art is also our investment in our creative life. It involves uncovering our distinct areas of giftedness, developing and nurturing them with passion and discipline, and then sowing them like seeds into the fields where we live and work.
I believe this creative life looks not so much like a list of accomplishments or failures, but rather doing what we love and are passionate about, pouring of our very selves–heart and soul–into the life we’ve been given.
I’m currently sharing this message at several music seminars, arts conferences and women’s retreats in 2011. Please contact booking@stacifrenes.com for more information if you’re interested in learning more.
