I just got back from my 2nd trip to Minneapolis where I recorded lead vocals for all 10 songs on the new album. I’m SUPER pleased with how things went! I’m getting excited about hearing these songs bloom from rough demos to full-blown production; it’s a beautiful thing.
One of the highlights was singing with my pal, Jason Gray. on a song called The Thief and The Lover. I’ve sung background vocals on some of Jason’s music before, but this was our first time singing a duet together. Fun!
There’s still work to be done on the tracks. I’m leaving them in the capable hands of my producer, Nate Sabin, who will work all kinds of wonderful musical magic on them before handing them over to the mix and mastering folks. We’re shooting for sometime in August for a release date.
