Take a Sneak Peek and Pre-Order Now!

8 June 2010

I’m excited to tell you about a new CD I’ve got coming out next month called, Snapshots. Here’s a sneak peek at a first draft of a cover…I already LOVE It…just a couple tweaks and it’s good to go!

Some of you know I write for lots of other projects besides my own albums, and this CD is a diverse and eclectic group of songwriting demos I’ve done for film/TV, mainstream pop, and other niche projects. They’re some of my favorites from the past few years, and all are collaborations with some incredible writer/producer friends.

Several of the songs have already been licensed to major network television, movies, professional photographers, airlines, and more. It’s a really fun collection and I can’t WAIT for you to hear it, turned up loud in your car on one of these warm summer days! (it just FEELS like a summer release to me…..) We’re anticipating it will be ready to ship near the end of the month.

I’d like to send you a signed CD as soon as they arrive at my door, and throw in FREE SHIPPING just for PRE-ORDERING.
CLICK HERE to pre order now on PayPal. You don’t have to have an account, you can use your credit card like any other secure site!

I’ll be in touch soon with more news and I PROMISE to post some sound clips on the fan page as soon as I have them!

Weekend in San Diego...

24 May 2010

Loved my time in San Diego at a women’s event at The Rock church this past weekend. What a great group of women, and an honor to share ministry opportunities that World Vision offers.

Thanks for coming and saying hello. I met lots of sweet women!

By the way….I was in a flowery mood that weekend..! I haven’t worn a flower in my hair since about the 3rd grade! :-)

Other Songs Other Albums....

I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating on some other albums in the past couple of years—songwriting as well as singing. I talk about some of these other artists’ projects in my latest BLOG post today.

Benefit Shows in the Northwest

22 April 2010

As you may know, thousands of children have been displaced and some orphaned in the fallout of the tragic HAITI quake in January of this year. World Vision has set up child friendly spaces within the tent cities in and around Port-au-Prince and is distributing backpacks to children who are particularly vulnerable and needy. (see story below)

I’ve been fundraising for these backpacks in Minneapolis, Portland, OR, Fremont, CA and San Diego—to name a few cities. Here are just a couple of pics from two gigs I did in the Pacific Northwest this past weekend:

This is a lovely place called Manhattan Cafe in downtown Portland. We had a full cafe and some great desserts and coffee…..

And below is The Shift—a great church in Albany, OR where I played with their very talented band for the evening.

Please contact me via the “Contact” link on the menu bar for more info if you’d like to host one of these events.

Come for the Music....Stay and Give Hope to a Child in Haiti

12 March 2010

Haiti benefit concert-big

I’m partnering with World Vision and planning several acoustic shows around the country to raise money for “Promise Packs,” special backpacks filled with things like school supplies, personal hygiene items and a blanket, distributed to children throughout the heavily impacted regions of Haiti.

An estimated 480,000 people have left the city of Port-au-Prince since the quake struck on Jan. 12. Many are staying with families, and even more in Tent Cities, like the one you see in the picture above….. but the support systems in these outlying communities are being stretched. World Vision’s top humanitarian priorities at this point include the emotional needs of vulnerable children.

Children need to feel safe and loved in the midst of such devastating loss and displacement. Giving a child a backpack of his/her very own filled with useful and fun stuff is a great way to wrap our arms around a boy or girl and say, we love you and have not forgotten about you. The concerts are a great way for us to gather together and share music, and also raise funds toward the purchase of these backpacks.

I’ve been a World Vision Artist Associate for over 7 years, and will work closely with the distribution channels handling these backpacks. We’ve got several shows in the works, in venues ranging from churches to coffeehouses to private homes, and we would love to do more!

If you’d like to host one, or know of a venue that might be willing to host it, please send an e-mail to booking@stacifrenes.com and we’ll talk with you about the details!
