Every now and then a song from a while back resurfaces, bearing unexpected gifts for a new season of life. I wrote “Lighthouse” a couple of years ago after the passing of my dad and brother, and yet I’ve never felt its message more needed than I do now. In a time when we’re all feeling a little scared and alone, this song reminds me to hope - in the nearness of God, and in the kindness of people.
