“amateurs” music video out now!
We took advantage of the beauty we saw on a recent trip to Kauai to help tell the story of “Amateurs”, a song about how, even with all the advances we’ve made in science, art, and technology, we’re still beginners at the one thing that matters most, love.
There’s something so mesmerizing to me about the ocean, I almost can’t look away when I’m standing in front of it. I feel like I’m face to face with God’s limitless, unconditional love. It offers me peace, acceptance, rest…and asks nothing in return. I’m overwhelmed by gratitude and my own shortcomings at the same time. That lyric: “If love is an ocean, we’re all sinking” comes to mind, and I feel the truth of it. So many years on this earth, and we’re still just dipping our toes in the water.
